Start with the status

Check the status for the correct month and grant. An approved result, a payment date and money actually reflecting in an account are separate parts of the process. Read the full message before deciding that a payment is missing.

Check these possibilities

  • The payment date may not have arrived.
  • The bank or payment provider may still be processing the transaction.
  • Your payment method or details may need attention.
  • A review, verification or eligibility issue may have paused payment.
  1. Record the result

Save the month, status, payment date and reference number privately.
  2. Check with the payment provider

Use the provider’s official support channel if a payment date has passed.
  3. Follow up with SASSA

Give the reference number and explain exactly which month is affected.

Never pay for a release

A person promising to unlock a grant in exchange for a fee or OTP is a serious warning sign.
